At Tina Takahashi Martial Arts, we offer a wide range of classes, including pre-school karate, elementary-aged karate and judo, family martial arts, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, and Combat Sambo, with certification opportunities. Our world-class facility provides ample training space for each session.
Tina Takahashi, the daughter of the esteemed Master Masao Takahashi—an 8th Degree Black Belt and former NATO Combat Instructor—continues her father’s legacy in Ottawa. Master Masao Takahashi established his dojo at Uplands Air Force Base in 1965 after his service in the Air Force. Following in his footsteps, Tina has become a World Champion, Olympic Coach, Hall of Fame member, author, and a pioneer in women’s martial arts. Along with her team, Tina is dedicated to enriching the lives of community members through martial arts and education, partnering with public schools and engaging in speaking events through her F.A.M.E. (Female Athletes Motivating Excellence) program.
Tina holds a 8th Degree Black Belt from her father, Masao Takahashi Sensei, and a 7th Degree Black Belt from the Kodokan in Japan.
